Historic Elements

Inman Park Historic District showcases the work of famous architects and , in 1973, the stunning artistic appeal was preserved by the National Register of Historic Places. Recognized areas include Inman Park Historic District, Inman Park-Moreland Historic District, parts of Copenhill Park, and some of the industrial areas on the westside. The entire area formed the grounds of the Battle of Atlanta in 1864.

Atlanta Public Schools serve the students living in Inman Park at Lin Elementary School in Chandler Park and at Inman Middle School and Grady High School.

Boundaries and Parks

Tour Inman Park on foot or bicycle. Boundaries include the old streetcar path that passes along its western edge, Moreland Ave. NE, and Little Five Points. Chandler Park Golf Course is a few blocks farther east. Freedom Park lies to the north and DeKalb Ave. NE to the south. PATH Foundation Trailhead meets the neighborhood.

Prompted by the beautiful Atlanta climate, recreation facilities easily encourage outdoor activities. For starters, Springvale Park sits in the heart of the neighborhood. On the west border, Beltline Trail passes through Freedom Park. Pocket parks and Bass Recreation Center add options. The MARTA station lies at the southern end of Inman Park, another great convenience.

From downtown, Inman Park is located three miles northeast of Peachtree St. Take the blue or green MARTA.
